Know who checked the information.

Source review and field verification are different jobs. A guide identifies each one separately so an organisational source check cannot be mistaken for someone having walked the trail.

The editorial desk checks published claims against the cited source, records uncertainty and keeps commercial recommendations separate from trail facts.

Checking official and land-manager information
Recording the date and scope of each source review
Moderating public trail reports before they affect a guide
Publishing corrections and retaining a visible change record

Named field reviewers will appear here only after a recorded check.

A field reviewer profile must state the person's name, relevant experience, the date walked and the route version checked. Until that record exists, the guide says that field verification has not been recorded.
