Moka Range
Le Pouce
A central mountain walk with a grassy shoulder and a short, steeper final push to a small summit.
The honest take
Le Pouce is often called easy, but the word can mislead beginners. Most of the route is approachable, while the summit finish is steeper, narrower and more exposed. You can stop below it and still have an excellent view.

How the route unfolds
Find the correct approach
The start can be less obvious than the mountain itself. Confirm the access point before driving into the area.
Reach the shoulder
The main trail leads to an open grassy area with broad views and a clear decision point.
Choose the summit consciously
The last section is short but steeper and more exposed. Stop at the shoulder if wind, cloud or confidence is not right.
Safety decisions
- Avoid the summit in strong wind or poor visibility.
- Download the route before arrival.
- Do not rely on informal shortcuts.
- Leave room for other hikers on the small summit.
What to carry
- Shoes with grip
- Offline route
- Water
- Wind layer
